Step 1: Open the Explore Menu:
On the HostCry website, click on Explore in the top navigation bar. A dropdown will appear with Free Tools and Security & Network sections.
Step 2: Select "IP Blacklist Checker":
Under Security & Network, click on IP blacklist checker, described as "Check DNSBL/RBL listings and IP reputation.
Step 3: Enter the IP Address:
On the tool page, type the IP address you want to check into the input box (e.g., 192.0.2.1).
Step 4: Click "Check Blacklist Status":
Press the check button. The tool will then query the IP against multiple major DNSBL/RBL databases (like Spamhaus, SORBS, Barracuda, etc.) at once.
Step 5: Review the Blacklist Report:
The result page typically shows:
- IP Address :the one you checked
- Overall Status : Clean / Listed
- Per-Blacklist Breakdown : a list of each DNSBL provider checked, with a Pass (not listed) or Fail (listed) status next to each
- Reputation Notes : extra context if the IP is flagged, sometimes with a reason or listing date
